Bhaflau Remnants Boss ~ Guide
Hi guys,
I was bored during maintenance on Monday night so I've put together a rough guide for Sundays Bhaflau Remnants Boss run. Now I was up to 3am the night before and was starting to fall asleep by the time I finished this so sorry if I've missed anything glaringly obvious! I've tried not to go into too much detail until 4th floor so you didn't all fall asleep.
Have a read over it and if you've any comments/suggestions feel free to post them.

Bhaflau Remnants Strategy - Boss Run
A good set up for SalvageLite would be MNK/NIN x2, BLM x2, RDM x2, BRD, WHM, COR, THF as a core group. Jobs outside that will depend on who we have.
1st Floor – West Path
Objective: Farm Weapons, Armor, Abilities, Magic, HP/MP & Subjob cells
2nd Floor
Kill flans for additional Magic if needed.
Exit South West.
Kill Wamoura in small inner room for gear & subjob then sneak past troll to large room to kill for more subjobs and stat cells. Send one person ahead to activate porter once inner room is cleared of Wamoura. NB. Wamoura are True Hearing.
3rd Floor
Skip this floor pretty much.
Send one person ahead to porter and the rest should kill flans in the meantime for Stat cells. Gears are TS but you can hug wall and get past them to porter easily if careful.
**NB. If Wind weather is up aggro range of gear is doubled. Be very careful!**
Save TP on last mob to be ready for gears floor.
4th Floor
Here's where things start to get tricky.
Objective: Kill all 10 single Archaic Gear in less than 60 seconds before they warp away.
Notes: DO NOT AGGRO GEAR OR PULL BY NON-DAMAGING MEANS OR THEY WILL WARP. THF will pull with ranged, or BRD with a damage dealing song (e.g. Carnage Elegy).
Killing all 10 gear will pop 4th Floor Rampart. If we have time, we will farm 4th floor Rampart for a short while for a chance of fighting the NM that drops Enlil's Brayettes or Freya's Jerkin.
Killing gears and Rampart will significantly weaken LBC, Homing Missle and remove the hate reset effect of Homing Missile.
Set up a Darkness SC will MB Blizzard IV to take down gears asap.
NB. We will also get some nice items from chests on this floor which will help on Boss e.g. Revitalizers.
5th Floor – BOSS: Long-Bowed Chariot
Aim to reach this floor with 30 mins remaining.
Special Attacks:
Homing Missile - Targeted AOE damage. Has hate reset effect if not weakened by killing 9/10 4th floor gears at least.
Inertia Stream – 10' AoE damage & Bind
Discharge – 10' AoE Lightening damage & Paralysis
Diffusion Ray – Breath Attack used only when target is directly in front of mob (I don't expect to see this as we'll be tanking LBC from the side)
Also uses Double Attack & Zanshin
Job Roles/Strategy:
MNK/NIN x2 – these will be the ONLY DD meleeing LBC – Tank LBC to the side to avoid Homing Missile (HM). At less than 70% LBC will start to turn to use HM, keep moving round to its side to avoid it. LBC reportedly has low accuracy, therefore the idea is to get hit as little as possible. Keep Shadows up at all possible times. Haste gear helps. Can Hundred Fists under 60% if we have Revitalizers, then use one and go again. If not wait til just before 30% then Hundred Fists.
BRD – Elegy on Boss. SV Double Minuet on at start I think... I'm open to other suggestions.
RDMs - Will each be a dedicated healer to one of the tanks. Keep Haste on tanks AT ALL TIMES. Keep Slow II on LBC at all times. Also focus on Cures/Erase/Paralyna. Most likely you will be our main healers. If we have an extra RDM they can focus on enfeebling LBC whilst others focus on healing. Also try stick Poison II, Bio III & Paralyze II on LBC.
If you have MP at >10% of LBC's health RDM may Chainspell Ice Nukes to quickly take him down.
WHM – Focus on Cures, Erase, Paralyna, & Haste. RDM's will support WHM in this. Will be made a dedicated healer to one of the tanks.
BLMs – Keep 3 dark sided DoT (frost/rasp/drown) on LBC at all times. At >70% can start nuking slowly, using Tier IV Ice nukes. >20% can Manafont (if have abilities) and go all out using Ice nukes. Also when LBC starts to turn towards tanks to use HM try Stun to slow it. NB. LBC will build up resistance to Stun eventually making it ineffective.
Ideally mages should keep the 5 darksided DoT on LBC throughout fight: Frost, Rasp, Drown, Bio III & Poison II
Other DD – You can sub SAM and Meditate WS for boss, or sub nin and bring TP Wings. DO NOT MELEE. Also no ranged attacks please, they feed LBC massive TP so its not worth it unless you are actually a Ranger. Darkness Skillchains can be used, these would be particularly helpful below 30% where LBC starts spamming TP moves.
THF – Use SATA Feint on LBC. Can also WS the tanks if you have TP.
DRK – As well as Meditate WS you can also spam Absorb-TP spells on LBC, & you should try Stun LBC when he starts to turn to use HM.

Thats pretty much it. Timings still to be worked out for lower floors. I'm thinking we need quite a bit of time on 4th floor too though, 20-30 mins to be safe. Leaves 40-50 mins for the lower floors. Most cell farming will be done on 1st floor, except for stat cells, so we'll need to get past 2nd and 3rd floors asap.

Additional Info
Ok here's an idea of the timings worked out for next run. Basically we aim to get to 4th floor with 50 mins to spare.
1st Floor: 25-30 mins (no ramparts)
2nd Floor: 15~20 mins (no rampart)
3rd Floor: Skip (less than 5 mins)
4th Floor: 20 mins (10 gears, Rampart & Chariot)
Boss: 30 min
1st Floor Strat:
West path. Head along path farming Bifrons & Trolls & skipping all Wamouracampa to reach Wamoura (moths). Kill Wamoura (moths) for abilities & magic. Send one person to wait at porter and the rest back track for gear. Port up at 30 mins max.
2nd Floor Strat: Kill flans for any additional magic, only if needed. Take East path for Stat/HP cells.
3rd Floor: Skip
4th Floor & Boss: As above.

Re: Bhaflau Remnants Boss ~ Guide
You also said something about 9/10 on the gears? So if 2 escape, you give up and just take on the boss?

Re: Bhaflau Remnants Boss ~ Guide
Less than 9/10 gears makes an unnoticable difference to Homing Missile from what I've read. However Chariot will still reduce defence/attack of LBC (depending on what side you go up - we're going for defence). So if two gears warp we kill Chariot and skip up to Boss.
